Cellular Trail Camera?

I started with 1 Tactacam this year. Up to 4 now. So far they work great. AT&T has better signal than the 3 Verizon ones I have. All work as intended.

Well I bought a bushnell...hope I didn’t get screwed. It’s set up out in the yard now and it took 2 pictures of me...

I started out with Covert many years ago and have stuck with them. They are way more expensive than most cellular cams out now but I don’t have problems. Have five cams going now with the oldest being five years old now and it is still going strong. All of them have a solar \ external battery setup on them and they stay out year round. The only thing Ihave ever had to replace is the external battery and the solar panel and time or two on a few of them. Otherwise they just work.

Well the Bushnell seems to be working well. I have gotten a couple hundred pics so far. Here is one from a couple minutes ago.

Any thoughts on how well this cam does in areas with poor cell connectivity?

I’ve got 6 now. Hopefully that’s enough. Just got 2 more AT&T. Will deploy them this weekend. Hoping their signal is as good as the one currently out there.
My son sent me out with the first one to set it up and I accidentally selected the wrong plan, now we are locked into the unlimited plan for one year:(

oh man. I thought it was month to month? I've been getting by with the $5.00 per month (250 pics I think?) so far. I'll cancel in December when I bring them all in.

You have your choice of plans, but once you select one you are locked into it until it expires, and pay in full up front, plus any camera that you add has to go on the same plan.

Well since our trespassing, thieving, vandalism issue we got 4 tactacam reveal XB cameras and deployed them. I haven’t caught any trespassers yet but my gosh those cameras worked so great I bought 2 more for a total of 6. I have all of them on the unlimited plan and instant notification and even though we have very poor cellular service those antennas act like a booster or something and I get photos within 30 seconds of the camera triggering! I love these things and all 6 work outstanding!!!

I'm about to buy either those Tactacam XBs or the Spypoint Flex. Waiting to see what the reviews are like when they come out in a couple weeks.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Spypoint. I'm running Tactacam only now, by far the best at the moment.
I've heard that alot, but I've had great luck with my original Spypoint Micro 3g. The only reason I'm looking is the 3g networks were shuttered. Mine was out 24/7 constantly for 3 years.

Did you have more hens move in after the season closed?
I had no turkeys until a couple days before season and then it was 1 gobbler and 2 hens. I couldn’t bring myself to kill the gobbler and through our monthlong season I gained a 3rd hen. Right after season another 2 toms came along and then several more hens. The wheat matured and they have stayed in it daily since. The only issue we had was an extremely wet and cool spring so we had no poults at all...

Your weather sounds like mine this year also. Wet spring and now everything is starting to go dormant because of the drought we’re in. If you can get one good spring to promote a decent hatch, you could be overrun with birds.

I went ahead and ordered 2 of the Tactacam XB with solar panels since they are on sale for $119 right now. I'll miss my 100 free pics per month with the Spypoints, but I like the no glow feature of these as well as the quality of the pics and videos I've seen.
