    Keystone Krops

Hey, good to hear from you! Yes, I did drill oats into my clover. I've also made several new shooting plots and put up a bunch of new hunting blinds. Life has been almost too busy to get pics up, but I will soon...

I enjoyed watching. Some great wildlife footage there!

    Undecided, but leaning !😁

The rye needs to have seed heads with anthers on every plant (yellow pollen tubes visible all over the seed head that shake off) to successfully roll or mow to terminate it. Anytime before that it will keep coming back and continue to grow. Nothing that you do at this point will kill off the...

Fertilizing My Trees in Somerset county Pa

It's a good time to fertilize since it takes fert a little time to work into the ground and become available. Early budding is 100% controlled by the weather and doesn't have anything to do with fertilizer...

Buck is back from vacation, only shows late

Thanks for sharing, you give some good solid advice here. I'm not sure whether the others input can be called "bad" advice, it's just a different way of thinking or doing things. It's up to the individual reader to decide which advice makes the most sense. On a forum there's always a lot of...

And that's a made in the USA Schrade plus steel, which aren't made anymore. I'd hang on to as many of those as you can find!

Ha ha ha, good one! "Ain't gonna spoil her" Seriously, I'm glad you took the plunge again, I'm sure that Molly will be the best cure for a broken heart, and she looks adorable enough to spoil ten times over. Congratulations on your new addition to the family.

Buckdeer has it right, you want a good knife that sharpens quickly rather than a fancy knife. This is the $6.59 Dexter knife that most deer butchering shops around here use; https://www.webstaurantstore.com/dexter-russell-p94820-5-narrow-stiff-boning-knife-with-white-handle/332372313.html

Stone Branch, build it, they will come.

You've got a good brand there. I've got a Stihl blower but I've mostly switched to using Milwaukee battery blowers. Is that thing for prescribed fire ignition?

    Heaping Excavator Bucket Capacity?

50 years ago my father put in a 1/2 acre horseshoe shaped spring-fed pond on the farm with a stable water depth of 9 feet, stocked with shiners and largemouth. We had a 14 foot aluminum row boat and a wooden dock, a lot of fishing, swimming, and skating happened here over the years. 1/2 acre is...

    Heaping Excavator Bucket Capacity?

Are you saying about a half acre? Your biggest concern when hiring someone is to get them to dig it when you want to do it rather than when they want to do it. For a pond it's important to dig it in the driest month of the year. And when you have excavating equipment working on your land a lot...

    Heaping Excavator Bucket Capacity?

If you have a good excavating contractor available I'd definitely go that route. You will get more bang for your buck. I just watched a friend go through this process of doing his own digging, and it was an expensive lesson.

IT TAKES TWICE THE LAND TO GROW 3 YEAR OLD BUCKS AS IT DOES TO GROW 2 YEAR OLD BUCKS

I am not trying to foment an argument, and I'm pretty much done discussing the matter, however, I do find your positions here to be misleading to anyone that is interested in deer management . Your first statement "I would contend that if you only have 250 acres that you can influence, you are...
