Not sure where I’m going wrong on uploading pics

I hit upload a file, choose file, the pic appears, but when I hit close, the pic doesn’t appear in the post. I just signed up for flickr and I can put a link to the pic, but the actual pic doesn’t appear. Where am I going wrong? Thanks in advance.

Probably have to reduce size of pic. I email them to myself on my phone and when emailing, it will as me what size I want. Got to be pretty small to upload on this site

I use Tapatalk free version to upload pictures, you don't have to reduce the file size or anything.
