    What's for dinner???

Yet another missed opportunity for most folks. You are utilizing all those good cuts! We do tacos and pulled turkey legs and thighs in BBQ sauce. Makes a great equivalent to shredded beef sandwiches!

    Is it just me ?

Tapatalk? Or online? My Tapatalk was messed up and I logged out and back in and it fixed it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What's for dinner???

This is a missed opportunity for most folks. One of my favorite things to do now. That marrow makes the sauce so rich! Love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking good, G! Is that the 800 series blower that everyone raves about?

Plotting in old fescue grass field

Maybe not immediately prior, but when I did it and allowed a few weeks for regrowth, I had great results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Plotting in old fescue grass field

Like Native said, it isn’t too hard to kill. I think getting rid of the thatch really helps get your herbicide to the green growing plant. Whether that is mowing or burning (I have done both) it really helps the effectiveness. Edit: I think adding AMS really helped me too. Sent from my iPhone...

    The Massey

A 2” sliver? Or 2” of the whole diameter? I’ve seen bucks with a bad break live if it was a sliver. A chunk could be different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, that's a good one to look forward to!

Would you consider that area at the top from a few years ago a prime candidate for the Bic? Looks almost too thick to travel through. Maybe perfect for a bedding backdrop though? What’s the plan with that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2024 tree and shrub planting

I hadn’t seen them on the Kansas site. I’ll have to look again. Pretty plants! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The Massey

Were you mostly walking wheat fields? I haven't found one on food yet. Only in the pastures... :(

The Land of Milk and Honey

In preparation for drilling in my NWSG buffers, I needed to take care of a few trees that were overhanging or otherwise preventing me from getting the tractor where I wanted. Picked up a little DeWalt battery powered chainsaw as I can’t get the truck there. That thing is neat. I got the whole...

What type of deer is this?

Looks like a very old whitetail mount to me. $15/lb for the antlers. Any history behind it?

    Scotty the Shed Dog

It's funny that we all know the inevitable grief that will come someday when we own a good pup but there is nothing that can prepare you for it. I am sorry to hear of your loss. We have a 13 yo lab mix and she has started the decline. I'll be sure to give her all the extra love tonight and tell...

Missouri Dept of Conservation ''Targeted Kills'' in CWD ''Hot Zones''

If CWD is spread by saliva, poo and piss, why do we have to kill them and test brain tissue to see if they are infected? You make a valid point. A coyote can carry a vertebrae full of spinal cord a long ways. It has parallels to COVID. Taking severe action without first understanding all of the...
