These seem to have great reviews! I am keeping them on my short list!

Thank you all - was a lot of fun! Ohio being a one-buck state is a real love/hate relationship!

Thank you, guys! I had this deer on camera a TON in 2019, passed him at 10 yards as a 3-year-old. Figured he died cause I didn't get a pic of him in 2020, until Gun season and he shows up for one picture. 2021 I got pictures of him but not super regular (had several cameras malfunction -...

Well on HighPoint - pictured above. I killed a 5+ year old short G2 10 pt. I passed this same deer, 2 years ago, to the date out of the same stand!

    Soil report back, next steps?

Hey, you are retired now, you are allowed to be lazy!! Thank you, sir. I don't know much. I learn more each day. I actually befriended a very large farmer in GA. He grows some amazing corn crops(and others) on 5 CEC soils. He has been a friend, mentor, and wealth of knowledge. I would be an...

    Soil report back, next steps?

As always, great inputs, sir! What is TNM? I would bet that with a PH that high, it is due to high MG levels in the soil. I bet that base saturation is near 20% or higher. I'd love to see the full report. Also a picture of the soil, would be great!

    Soil report back, next steps?

Contact Dale Strickler with green cover seed. I believe he is in Kansas and has amazing knowledge of the area and cover crop mixes Keep in mind that many of the root exudates must communicate with an established fungi network to have the impact we seek, being additional macro nutrient...

    Soil report back, next steps?

Can you post CEC and base saturations? I suspect that soil feels tight - high MG. Phosphorus is almost always in the soil, especially higher CEC soils - we just need to release it via root exudates and all the amazing downstream symbiotic relationships that occur. Adding a little P might...

    Regenerative Plotting

Wouldn't hurt for the cost, but if you have had other legumes in this area - you are likely set on rhizobia in soil! I love HV!! Let us know how you like it!

Well boys I got 10 acres in on Saturday and it rained Sunday afternoon. Dew has been heavy and I suspect we’ll see decent germination. I sprayed these plots off with 1qt per acre gly Ams Humic acid And fish fert. (I did an experiment with marestale and the above mix and I was shocked to see it...

Other cations - see below "Base saturation is the sum of base cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, and Na+) held onto the soil exchange sites divided by the total CEC and expressed as a percentage."

    Regenerative Plotting

@TX-Aggie You are most likely seeing a fantastic response from the clover when adding gypsum due to the CA,MG, K base saturation becoming more balanced. Niel Kinsey and Wiliam Albrecht speak/spoke about this topic. We don't need to lime/gypsum to just balance the PH but also the ratios. More...

    Regenerative plotting questions

I plant mine via broadcast - spray or mow off summer crop. However, if I was you - I would attempt to run that drill right through the standing crop. Then, based on how the fields look - run a crimper through thereafter or just leave it. I am not sure what is in the summer release blend but...

    Regenerative Plotting

Understanding fungi systems is crucial if we want to have a grasp on how the systems function from start to finish. Also recognize, what human interventions may impact these processes regardless of solely a positive or negative response. Here is a very nicely done, and easy to comprehend...

    Foliar Fertilizer

I am not all the way through this but thought I would share. REDOX chemist, specific to soil, is fascinating! In this webinar/podcast Olivier Husson explains the EH (redox) reading of soils, as well as PH readings. What these mean and why certain elements are often in oxidized form (iron and...

    Foliar Fertilizer

From what I have learned about foliar applications, is they are very good at a few things, in the correct circumstances. I am not sold on them, yet, for broad-acre food plots/pastures but I am hoping to learn more and try some of my own experiments. 1. They are often formulated with a base of...

    WOODS seeders/products

It varies by tractor a bit, because it is relative to the 3pt lift capacity but the further you get from the tractor (drills are deep), the less the lift capacity is on the given tractor model. Most folks, I have spoken to say 70HP min for a 606NT 3pt** . Now if you are able to tow a drill, that...

    Regenerative Plotting

Sorry for the confusion, I don't have any issue growing rye - I can grow the snot out of it. I just haven't had where if I leave it go all through the next Spring (which I often do for fawning cover and broadcast into it to add diversity). However, I never have it re-seed itself well from there...

    WOODS seeders/products

Landpride and GP are the same MFG - GP makes the drills. Cost of a 606NT is around 15-18k, used ones (if you can find it) are damn near the same cost. You can find tow models (often more new) used but for my terrain and plots, I need a 3pt. Landpride does make one little drill for orchards but...

    Regenerative Plotting

I have never had much luck with rye re-seeding - does anyone know why? It is fall-planted and the seed should vernalize over winter, yet I never seem to have it happen. I know some guys do, but I never have! Vetch seems to do very well for me, I love the stuff! Nice pictures!!
