Camera mounting setups

I'm curious how the community is mounting their trail cams. Most of ours are on stakes in the ground with a small board attached, and the cams are attached using flexible ties or small bunnies. This works well, but we have added a bunch of solar panels. They've been left on the ground, which isn't ideal. I'm curious if anyone has a setup to hold a cam and a solar panel.

On my lease, we make/buy tree screws so we can rotate the camera as we need it. One of our members makes a tripod for his solar panels so that it can be placed in optimal sun. He buys Amazon cords that are 6-8 feet with the appropriate camera power plug on at least one end and we can rewrite the other end for the solar panel if need be. This lets us place the camera in a northerly direction(N, NE, NW) and the solar panel in a southern direction. Has worked out really well. He even made us a solar panel for the battery on out camper to charge the car battery that powers lights when we don’t have the generator on. I don’t believe I have pictures, but will add them if I find some.

I use this set up pretty much. the only things I change is a longer eye screw and a wing nut on the bolt that holds it all together so I can easily adjust in the field

All of my cameras are mounted on a metal rod with a 1/4-20 bolt welded to the top. You dont have to worry about having a tree in the right place to mount the camera, can put in the middle of the field if you want to. Would be easy to weld another hanger to mount the solar panels on the same rod.

The lag bolt is small and sharp enogh to screw into trees easily and is fully adjustable so that you don’t have to be so anal about getting the screw level. My buddy’s mounts are not adjustable in that way and you have to be really careful to get it level or you’ll be looking over the subject. I think I paid $12 for three but I see they go for $18 now. Still worth it IMO because they work well.
