Live from the Stand 2022

Just watched one hell of a fight. Been watching some sparing this morn and chasing.
Decided to hard rattle. Called in hot doe w her shooter buck. Another mature buck dropped in opposite side and I knew this was not going to go well.

Best fight I’ve watched. Head banging ,neck twisting ,rolling down the hill on top each other , smaller bucks coming in to see. It was wild and thought sure one would die broken neck. That is why I tell you guys to bang those antlers hard for 5 min. They don’t fight like p******!!!! And on video.

I was always told here in Florida to just “tickle the tines” as they don’t fight like those Northern Bucks do.

After hearing a Nock Down Drag Out Fight that lasted over 30 minutes and tore up Palmettos and all sorts of stuff I will NEVER believe that again.

Best fight I’ve ever heard.

Have shot several nice bucks from this place including the Weiner buck I shot that came by while, yes , while I was pissing. I think he died of fright from the sight!!
Already one buck by this morn that needs a year.
No Native condo stand for poor me.

I would like to see the fight video, but I'm hoping no video exists of that "wiener buck" incident. I watched "Nightmare on Elm Street" but I'm not ready for a "Nightmare in The Elm Tree."

Since we’re on the subject, take a look at a pic taken of a stand on some Kansas public. Be sure to look close at the detail. :D I didn’t take the pic…

Sitting here in a stand over our south plot that is mainly growing cool season grass and some cool season weeds due to planting in late August and a small shower germinating it and then nothing for over 2 months. In they same time frame our pond also completely dried up. And as I listen to the various rifle shots on all the surrounding properties I am pretty sad because I remember all the great bucks that roamed this property over the past several years. It wouldn’t be quite as sad if it wasn’t archery only season right now… the McGirt decision has destroyed my area of the state for deer hunting…

Its opening day of ML here in VA. The woods have been quiet so far and I have actually only heard two shots. Surprising! It's unusually warm though so maybe that has something to do with it. Upper 70's today, tomorrow, and Monday.

I haven’t been sleeping well so I didn’t hunt this morning. First opening of general season I’ve missed since 1982 ! Oh well, full moon and 18,582,632 acorns on the ground I really didn’t miss much. Out of four hunters, one killed a doe, one saw a small buck. This was my view this afternoon, a narrow pipeline r o w that has a small patch of wheat. I saw three birds. o_O
