My Central Ky Habitat Addiction

Healthy chicken manure plot. Good work! What kind of temps you got in KY these days. We are looking for highs in the low 80s later this week. Will be cold compared to the temps we have had.

Been in 90's pretty consistently , front moving through today and 70's are in the forecast with lows in the 40's! My son is on fall break next week so we're gonna do some hunten' . Def looking forward to that .

Oh man this thread is impressive! You are an absolute machine!! Great work and and awesome looking farm. I will be tuning into this thread going forward.

My nephew who just turned 6 got his first deer at the farm tonight. Pretty impressed with him, he's been practicing a lot with his crossbow and laid this buck down with a 15yd recovery.

Meanwhile across the farm my son was dreaming of big bucks I guess !!

Pics of kids are awesome! Congrats to your nephew. Always interesting to see kids grinning ear to ear on their harvests pics. That's how it should be. Love the pic of your son catching a little cat nap. Reminds me of being in stand with my grandson last year when he killed his buck. He dozed off with a sleeping bag around him. Had to wake him up when deer came in.

I don't know how many pics I have of my daughters snoozing in the deer blind. Congrats to your nephew. Great to see young ones in the outdoors.

Congrats to your nephew. I know that was exciting. Your son looks content. He is practicing for when he is in the stand at my age. I am known to grab a nap or two when on hunt.

I am guilty of the same as well!!!!
We had a young buck and doe come out but by the time I could get him good and awake it was too late for a good shot. Trying to let him hold out for something decent until later on in the year anyways .

Mowing my tree rows one more time this year. The majority of them look mediocre I guess but man the ones that took up good this year look awesome when I drive-by

This is a native persimmon, notice underneath him is a white oak and he has completely crowded him out already
