Everything looks great Buckhunter - ground doesn't look too flat to me and those are some fine bucks!

thank you! I am blown away with the success I have had with a broadcast seeding method.
I attribute the success to a few things.
1. Beans in this field last year
2. tilled in 200lbs+ of Urea at time of planting
3. spread corn and tilled corn into the urea lightly
4. Timely rains
5. Did not use TOO much seed. I used 1 bag of seed and split it between two areas. Both of which are loaded with corn cobs! Next to standing beans.

Thank you. I am happy with the bucks, I just know I should have a few giants around but few of these bucks would be awfully tempting for me. My cousin has a green light on them as he hasn't killed a big buck and these are pretty darn good ones, IMO!

Thank you bud! This farm is far from flat, got a lot of big hollers in SE Ohio, and I wouldn't want it any other way! Makes hunting a bit harder when you are hunting big timber deer but I love it.

I have learned over the years not to take myself so serious. I do this because I truly love it, and I have an obsession with white-tailed deer. I cannot help it and I have been this way since I was a young child. Mom used to say, your the only boy who rather take his naps watching hunting vs. cartoons. Just something inside me that is built this way. With that being said, sometimes God still has to remind me that this is all just for fun and a hobby. As I pulled in to look at a plot I call Barn plot or Moms field (due to the proximity of the house so Mom can see deer) I was disgusted in my effort as it had weeds all over. I knew we had gotten good rain but I rushed the planting that day because it was the last one we planted. As I sit here today working and on a conference call, I look out only to watch a doe and fawn eat for a solid 15minutes. I watched the doe pull big brassica leaves out form the weeds and chew on them before taking another large bite. Enjoy playing farmer everyone, and be happy with your efforts no matter the outcome, I am sure the deer will be there either way! Thank you for reading!

Thank you bud! I am hoping to have some better deer show up still but these ones are pretty darn good and have been showing up since June. I jus hope that the darn deer leave some beans for season!
It is ok, I am overseeding everything with oats, wr, brassicas! We shall have food!

Here is a picture I took today, Boy am I excited for this spot. I can enter that blind from the back side with next to 0 impact. The beans are growing well but getting browsed pretty darn heavy! The corn is along the top side. I have trips, oats, ww, and soon WR growing on edges and anywhere I can get the sun to hit the ground. I also have some clover coming up in spots which is just fine by me!

Here is a plot that I just love! It is the top of a ridge, oaks on both sides, thickets down in bottoms below. It is a natural funnel for the deer. I can't even count how many bucks I have watched chase does through this area over the years. One was a nice younger 8pt that is on my wall that I killed when I was younger. The plot is not looking great, but I just seeded it with oats, brassicas, and will hit it again in a few weeks with Winter Rye.

This plot I swear grew from yesterday. I top dressed this with UREA, we then got about 3 inches of rain. I am excited as all get out to hunt this field. It is about half acre. It should be a great spot for catching deer in evenings and mornings on their way back to be. I have noticed my deer are hammering brassicas now! Normally they wait till it gets cold, I guess they like them now too!

Yes I don't know what it is about them but deer love them, easy to grown, and just look great.
I know what you mean about the term. I have had to explain it many times as well.
