In the fall just before the leaves on the beans drop I broadcast oats and/or wheat into them. It works awesome. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Beans and corn is back in the ground for the second year. The field I had the corn in last year has been a mess with volunteer corn. I disked it 4 times between early March and Memorial Day hoping to get it all germinated and turned under, but that didn't get anywhere near all of it. Since...

    2018 corn planting

I wish I could get the nerve up to try that with corn. I'd do it in a heartbeat with beans, but corn makes me nervous not going into a tilled seedbed.

Spring plots, who has planted any this year?

I put off spraying my oats this year back in February because I just wasn't thinking straight. I had planned on putting corn in the ground this past weekend, but because I didn't spray it didn't disc worth a hoot. So their wording is intentionally worded to decieve? Is that what you and he are saying? And what about MO laws that I posted? Is it illegal there too by your interpretation?

    Can't beat corn.

I'm not sure what else to say, smallplot. I posted the wording straight from the Illinois regulations that specifically allows the manipulation of corn for hunting, by mowing, but you're not acknowledging it. I live in GA anyways, so it's up to Illinoisians whether they use it to their...

We're lucky here in the fact that bushhogging is an acceptable practice for doves and deer. And as posted above, corn is a highly expensive crop to plant and has to be planted right.
