Late Season Bow Hunting - Clothes

I use to be Cabelas #1 fan of wind shear products. Two years ago there quality control over seas had a lot of problems. Burned me several times and I said never again. Bought the over priced Sitka jacket. I was shocked at how there products fit and perform. Never had jacket that had no...

    The Playground

I gave up on coyote trapping till I retire. Two night soak is not productive enough unless you know of a hot spot. Im sure your kids still enjoyed. Great pics .

    Gun safe..... opinions

Gun safes are nice to keep kids and smash and grab thieves from getting valuables. All box store gun safes can be opened in under two minutes with a couple crowbars. Google U tube to check it out. Looks like they took most videos off showing how to open these safes. I saw one where they used a...

Yes this thing is top heavy. I had to add ballistic for the 50 mile run to the farm. Might cut axle and widen 1 or 2 feet next year to help when going over creek crossings.

    Portable box blind

Installed 11 deer view windows. I hate having big blind spots. Too many times target animals are 10 yards from you before you see them. Bro complained that we would not be concealed and be busted. Im flipping the bill so added tint to window order. Tint not dark enough so not worth the $5. Made...

    Portable box blind

Last build was tough to hunt out of if not level. Bought farm jack and cut short pieces of 2"x 12" pressure treat from deck job to stick under low side tire. Built adjustable stabilizers for all 4 corners. If work will install on other blinds.

Now goes to brother (carpenter) for help. We make four walls 4' and short walls 2' by 7' tall. Working with barn tin is tough and time consuming. You guys suggested using pressure treat and stain so that is what we did. With this layout you have just under 7' floor. Made trap door 30"x 30" so...

    Portable box blind

Every build I try to improve. Some things work and some are still on the drawing board. I wanted more elevation but still portable. Thought trap door would be the way to go so needed to have floor at 5.5'. Used 1.5"x 3/16 angle for uprights. Plenty strong with no wobble. Center line of blind...
