Creating a screen for the powerline right of way?

About $2 sqft, constructed. Materials would be $1420 for a 160' x 6' fence, and two carpenters a half day to build it, $500, made out of treated 4x4-8' posts set two feet deep at eight foot intervals, two treated 2x4 horizontal stringers at one foot and five feet off the ground, with vertical 1x12-6' untreated pine boards nailed onto the stringers. I have built numerous privacy fences in this style. The plain pine should last ten to twenty years without rotting. Or stain with wood preserver. In your case you could probably gap the boards an inch.
