Need advice on this one

I gathered ~200 live oak acorns 9/28 and placed in moist long leave spanghnum moss at room temp

On 10/1, ~130 had produced radicles

I direct seeded 60 on !0/2

Is it feasible to refrigerate over winter in moss and start in RM 18s in spring?

I don't have time to direct seed anymore and i don't ever toss anything tree related

thanks,
bill

Yep. Put them in the fridge and revisit them in a couple of months. I had about 50% success doing that last year, so plan accordingly. Once in the RM18 they take a LONG time to germinate. Don't give up on them.

I just put mine in the fridge in a ziplock bag with a moist paper towel. Many produced radicles in the fridge. Top growth after planting is what took so long.
