I got a couple "heritage" oaks in my lawn which is a english/bur oak hybrid, the trees I have are grafted from a nursery. I gathered acorns from them this fall which dont look like bur or english acorns really. I am growing them now and have 10" tall seedlings, I cant really tell if they look bur or english. My question is beings these are from grafted trees will I get hybrids of sorts or will they be whatever kind of oak is used as the trunk on my grafted trees, hows that work? I know they wont be exact duplicates.
