Ok I know, I know I know - tilling isn't good. Well I am converting a few plots back from annuals to perennials this year.

I often hear people fighting with weeds in their plots, doing several spraying attempts, etc.

I am thinking this year of simply
1. Tilling in my rye grain/brassicas under (applying Lime/FERT per soil test if needed)
2. Waiting for 2-3 weeks
3. Spaying any weeds poping up with GLY and seeding my alfalfa, clover, chicory mix /packing soil same day.

I know GLY isnt ground active - any reason why this wouldnt work or wouldnt work well?

When are you planning to plant your alfalfa. I have two acre plot I'm itching to plant in Ohio also but this weather has been tricky this year, 70+ now and 30's Sunday and Monday at nights.

I’ve sprayed gly after seeding in broadcast method. Should not be a problem. I do afterwards as I don’t want seed sticking to wet grasses. In past when doing tillage I never bothered to spray and no problem w weed or grasses but I have always waited till at least July to do so. Good luck.
