I am with you Todd. I am ok with all methods as long as they are legal and you are hunting the correct season with the correct weapon... guns during bow season are my pet peeveCrossbow has been legal now around 5 years in oklahoma and we have not seen any major increase in harvest numbers. I shoot both and I don't care how I kill a big buck-as long as it is legal. Same argument was made when compounds were coming out. Same arguments were made when scopes were legalized on black powder guns. Hunt how you want as long as it is legal.

This ^^ I have a compound, a crossbow and a rifle. I prefer using the crossbow over anything. Either way i'd be in the woods hunting. Actually I am putting both my crossbow and compound up for sale so that I can buy a new crossbow. Compound just isnt for me.Crossbow has been legal now around 5 years in oklahoma and we have not seen any major increase in harvest numbers. I hear what your saying. I felt the same way when the crossbow was legalized in Oklahoma but I did want something that my daughters could use to hunt deer during the bow season. They weren't strong enough to pull back a legal bow. I ended up using my Cabela points and got an Excalibur x-bow. I still used my compound and the girls used the x-bow. This year I had to have a shoulder replacement and was only able to use the crossbow during the bow season. I had shot the crossbow before and enjoyed it but still wanted the challenge of the compound. After hunting with it this year I just really enjoyed the ease of the crossbow and really enjoy shooting it. Not saying I won't go back to the compound next year some but I do see myself using the crossbow much more.Thats why I asked that question,to each their own but isn't something with a AR lower, scope and a trigger? Most states don't even survey enough to know what the harvest is
Love my scorpyd Orion, short, fast and very accurate. Have seen problems with the bigger poundage ones, but not at 150#!i will be putting my barnett for sale soon with plans to try a tenpoint or scorpyd, lookin forward to a change though I do love the barnett.
