Not sure either but the leaves are pretty. I love watching the woods change colors. Trees are starting to get bare as I look through the woods behind my house when I am home and their is day light.
Looks like a Regal Prince; a cross between a columnar english oak and a swamp white oak. Man in Jacksonville IL was responsible for it's development. Has pretty (swamp white oak like ) leaves, dense branching structure and is resistant to powdery mildew. Crimson Spire - while lacking - or at least lesser - in the previously mentioned characteristics - probably fruits better (more and bigger acorns) as a wildlife habitat tree.
