It was $4.99 here and then it dropped to $3.99 so I figured that was it and now it is $3.00 I see...could have saved some more $...good price!

Why hello there!

This guy figured out how to manipulate the cable system to take down this empty barrel feeder from high in a tree. Uses a winch, cable, pulley system. Barrel hangs well below big limb its attached to and well above reach from the ground and the tree has a good lean so hangs out about 14 feet from the trunk. I figure if feeder had been full he wouldn't have gotten it but he worked on it about 1/2 hour till he got it down...haven't fed in this spot since December and had camera on a mineral block...

Still have not found the barrel...

Had a really busy weekend...Friday night I was up until after midnight installing nitrous on top of the blower on my 69 GTO for the cooling properties for the supercharger and also some added hp...

Saturday was spent mowing the dust bowl of a yard we have on the hollow because in certain areas that held some moisture it was getting tall and in others looked like the surface of the moon... After that chore I brushhogged the sprouts attempting to come up in our south plot.

Saturday night was Muldrow cruise nightand the wife and I took the GTO over and had an absolute blast! Funnest cruise of summer so far!

Saturday night about 3 am we got 1" of rain.

Sunday went to church and then back home to cook steaks and sweet corn on the grill for some guest we had coming. It was a great meal and we had a great time. They left around 5 so since I had a few hours of daylight left I hooked up the chisel plow and headed to the south plot expansions to start working them up since we finally had enough soil moisture to get the chisel plow through the hard pan...

All I can say is whoever came up with the spring loaded chisel plow had our exact property in mind! Rocks and roots are its specialty!!!

Just wanted to share an easy way to move 3 point equipment if you have an FEL on your tractor.

First you weld a receiver hitch to the top of your bucket in the very center and then weld a wide center hook to the top of that. The hook needs to have a wide enough throat to fit the hitch pen or bolt assembly that holds the center link of your 3 point accessory together.

See the following photos to see how easy this makes moving equipment without having to even leave your tractor seat...

Since I am constantly moving tractor and equipment from property to property I had to come up with the easiest options to move things...

The extra receivers on my bucket allow me also to add ball hitches so I can easily move trailers as well...

Took chisel plow and disk to Home 10 and worked plots this weekend. No planting yet but soil is ready to go for planting in 2 weeks...

Also did a little work here on whitetail hollow witch was some hinging to screen one of my access points (forgot to take pictures) and while over there took some photos of part of the plot I am not replanting. I brushhogged the WR down 2 weeks ago to release the clover that it was covering and finally am realizing the WR reseeding itself like others had mentioned would happen. I have always brushhogged in June in years before and gotten no reseed but waiting until late beginning of August got me some rye grain germination...

I won't have to replant this section so I will just let the rye grain and clover take off again for the winter. This area is the center of a 2 acre field so all around it will be radishes and oats...

I'm amazed that you have bear!

Glad you have enough rain to work the ground.
Out of all these rain chances over the past 2 weeks we have only gotten .55"...Thursday they told us between Friday and Monday we would be getting 5-7"...Friday morning we got .5" and this morning .05" here on the hollow...

On Home 10 just a few miles south we got about 3" in that same time and just a bit south of that on our deer lease we got about 5" in the same time frame... all in the same county...

The river is a trickle and the pond is still low after 3.5 inches last week. 15 miles South in Springfield, it has poured rain. Too dry for nuts this year; rain came too late. I'm thinking alfalfa, but there were years when it wasn't moist enough to germinate.

Ingenious idea on the receiver hitch n hook! Thx for posting. Hope you guys get some rain. Wish we could ship some your way. Been a wet summer down here this year.

Curious...How do you utilize the other receiver hitch you have welded to the FEL?
